Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

Welcome back!  The school year is off to a terrific beginning due to established procedures and the efforts of the dedicated staff.  The Sawtooth staff has devoted many of their personal hours specifically to be prepared for the students.  Their commitment will be noticed by the students and parents.  The 2008-2009 school year will bring very few changes but those that are made will assuredly have a significant impact on student learning.  Most notably will be the District adopted Exit Standards for the 7^th and 8^th grade students.  There will be a parent meeting to review and discuss the Exit Standards on Thursday, September 25^th beginning at 6:30.  Please see a Sawtooth administrator for additional information.  Another notable change that will have a significant impact on learning is the creation of a common grading policy.  You can note the common policies by reviewing the course/class expectations provided to the students by their teachers.  The Sawtooth Middle School administrative and counseling teams continue to be a resource for all students and parents.  Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
